lino-printing
Here are some fabric patches I've lino-printed! I really love these patches. Making them is a whole process:
- sketch the design
- transfer it to the lino (I actually use rubber, not lino)
- carve it out
- print the design
- iron the patches to heat set them
- cut them out
- iron them again to fold over the edges
- and finally machine sew around the edge.
I've considered adding a iron-on backing to them but I think that it would eventually come off, so they may as well just be hand-sewed on from the start. I'm currently sketching + carving a nasturtium patch, a dragon patch, and a spiny-leaf insect patch.
