thank you! Honestly in making this I looked up a lot of "how to do _ with html/css"! I recommend looking at w3 schools, sadgrl's neocities, and read up on web accessibility! editing in firefox also lets you inspect the site for accessibility issues. sites like coolors are helpful for colours, and i took the photos myself. also the structure of the website was taken from here: https://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/a-guide-to-flexbox/#aa-flexbox-tricks

03/11/2024hey i just wanted to talk about your quest for the bioluminiscent algae
this species of algae are called noctiluca scintillans, they only glow whenever they feel they are in danger mostly due to the water movement, they glow so they can attract a fish that could eat the animal that are attacking them
they're in peril due to chemical dumping into water bodies, that's another reason of why they glow, so whenever you find some, be careful

Thanks for the info and their scientific name, that's very helpful (I can locate them on iNaturalist)! I looked at their wikipedia article and it's quite interesting to read about how they chemically function (and the distribution info there is useful also). I'll have to research them further.
